In today’s completely-interconnected society, becoming a master of all trades is not only possible, but required for success. This is possible because of the profound increase in networking during the last few years. By engaging in network learning, everyone in the network will slowly pick up on everyone else’s skills, letting the group benefit from the totality of their experience, ideas, opinions and relationships. Suffice to say, it’s a very valuable model to create new success stories.
- We get new ideas from people who are most different from us. Social networks provide a fertile environment to share ideas.
- Instead of getting into a heated debate with someone we do not know, we can discuss and debate these opinions in a safe environment, among trusted colleagues in a community of practice.
- I have changed some of my practices by seeing how others offer their professional services.
“”The essence of my network learning model is that knowledge flows between individuals engaged in doing work and sharing with their communities and social networks.””
